Process
Designed To Perfection
Designing a product is a meticulous process, built on a series of well-executed steps. Our 3D design services help you expertly navigate each crucial stage. learn more
IDEATION
It all starts with an idea. Figuring out the fundamental use and function is key to successfully execute any idea.
DRAFTING
A good roadmap is the cornerstone of any design project. Ensuring each step is executed effectively and efficiently will help your project on the road to success.
CONCEPT SKETCHING & CAD DESIGN
Translating sketches and drawings onto a 3D software is the beginning of the design phase. Watch your ideas grow and evolve in an interactive way.
PROTOTYPING
Transition your idea from the virtual into the physical world. Begin the process of physically interacting with your design through prototyping.
INITIAL EVALUATION & TESTING
Putting your design through its initial phases is a fundamental step to helping your design evolve and become successful.
INDUSTRIAL DESIGN & DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURING
Watch your designs' aesthetic vision transform in this iterative process of manipulating its physical form.
LIFE TESTING & FINAL BETA PROTOTYPE
The most crucial but often overlooked step in the design process. Testing the viability of our final idea is paramount to its success.
MANUFACTURING
The culmination of all 7 stages. Manufacturing is the final stage to seeing your idea come to life.
Frequently Asked Questions
Below are a few of the most commonly asked questions regarding our 3D design and engineering services. For a comprehensive list

How can 3D printing benefit my project?
3D printing allows the designer a greater degree of flexibility when it comes to evaluating their design. Because of the relatively rapid turnaround time a designer can iterate through designs at a faster pace than would otherwise be possible through more traditional methods. Being able to interact and handle your part in the real world greatly increases its potential for success.
How long will it take to complete my project?
This depends what stage your project is on as well as the complexity of the scope of your project. In our experience design projects can take as little as a few days and as long as several months to a year. It all comes down to the scale of what you are trying to do and the requirements for the final design.
What are the most common types of 3D printing?
3D printing is available in a few different technologies. The most common ones used today are FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), SLA (Stereolithography), and SLS (Selective Laser Sintering). Each of these technologies has its pros and cons so understanding your design is crucial in choosing which technology to use.
What programs do we use to design parts?
We do all our CAD designing in Solidworks. We use a few other programs in order to do certain tasks as well if we find that Solidworks is not able to accomplish what we need.
What is a Prototype?
A prototype refers to a preliminary physical representation of a design. In general, your design either starts on paper or in CAD software. Once a design has reached a point of testing viability it can be made through a variety of different processes. Some of the most common ones are, 3D Printing, CNC Machining, and Casting.
What types of design files do you provide?
We generally provide all the design files associated with your project that we have used in throughout the design phase. If there is something specific that is required, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
What is CAD?
CAD stands for Computer Aided Design. This refers to a variety of different software packages available to designers, where they can create 3D models of their designs.
